Ryley

Sunday night I got a little stressed cause the house was a mess, the boys were fighting and I was tired so I told Ryley he was going to have to sleep in his own bed by himself. Throughout the week what normally happens is I put Aiden to sleep in his bed at 8:30. Then at 9:00 I watch my General Hospital that I recorded and Ryley will lay on the couch next to me and fall asleep. Then when he has been asleep for 15 minutes I go put him in his bed. Sometimes he sleeps the whole night in his bed and sometimes he comes in my room. Sunday night after Ryley realized he was goona have to sleep in his bed he started crying. So I decided to let him go with me to put Aiden to bed and then we went to his room. I put a night light in there and got him a stuffed animal to sleep with. He cried and told me to leave the door open. Then after five minutes of Ryley crying Aiden starts crying cause Aiden copies everything Ryley does. Ryley then stopped.
Monday night I told Ryley if he would sleep in his bed the whole week we would buy him a toy on the weekend from Wal Mart. So Monday we did the same routine again and he cried for like 2 minutes maybe. Then last night we did the same thing again but there was no crying. I feel so relieved and if this was so easy why didnt I do this sooner. Well apparently this whole time I worried about Ryley not adapting but it was really me. After Aiden goes to sleep that is when me and Ryley bond. However I am so happy Ryley is going to sleep in his bed now. Now I can think about changing Aidens bed from the baby bed to a toddler bed.

Dentist

Today Ryley had his first dentist appointment. At home David was telling him it was ok to be scared but I started thinking he has no reason to be scared because he doesnt even know what to expect. He did well though. He got his teeth cleaned and he doesnt have any cavities. He has a very small brown spot on his tooth that won't some off. The dentist said it was because whenever his tooth formed it grew to close to one of his bones. She also said that since his bottom teeth are crooked he will probably need braces when he gets older.

The dentist we went to was in Rockwall, and I was very pleased. They had an Ocean theme going on. After Ryley was done he got to pick a prize out of the treasure chest. They even let Aiden get one too. The dental assistant gave both boys a toothbrush and Ryley got toothpaste.
I was a little nervous before going but everything turned out great. What a nice experience.

Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Friday
Friday David grilled some steaks that we got from his boss. They were so good. Me and David watched a movie while the boys watched their cartoons. They kept coming in and out of the room and we were constanly having to pause it. I liked the movie but I can't remember the name of it.

Saturday
I had told Ryley Friday that we could get doughnuts on Saturday. Well he didnt forget, so we all got dressed and went and got doughnuts. After that we got ready and headed off to the mall. I think its been a while since we have gone and hung out at the mall. Its just not as fun as it used to be. We were looking and pricing anniversary rings, and we had to buy the boys some jammies, and a present for my cousin who is getting married in July.

Sunday
I made muffins for breakfast. We took the boys to both get their haircut at Sharkeys. They were both very good. This is the second time Aiden has gotten his haircut and both times he has been so good. He doesnt even flinch or whine. After that we headed to Lowes, then to CiCis to eat. I didnt really get to enjoy my time at CiCi's cause there was a big party beside us and some lady came and sat right beside Aiden. She was wearing a white shirt. Come on now she must have been crzy to sit buy a toddler who was eating pizza. Since we were there first I didnt really get on to him if would try to touch her but I did tell her he was eating pizza. So she sat there at her own risk. The boys got baloons, when we left we released them into the sky. Balloons just freak me out with the kids, so we never take them in the car with us. After that we headed home and the boys fell asleep in the car. So when we got home we put them in their beds and headed outside to work on the boys swingset that their papaw Hodges got them. We started at 3:00 and stopped at about 9:00. David has a couple more small items to do to it and then the boys can swing and slide. My parents came over about 6:30. My dad helped David and I chatted inside with my mom while the boys played with chalk and playdough. David wanted to take the boys out at 9:30 to swing but it was just to late and a little cold. So they have to wait till today.

Weekend Fun

Friday
We went to eat at Tejanos in Oak Cliff. The food was great. The only bad thing was that I had really bad allergies that day. I just couldnt stop sneezing. It was like there was a cat right underneath my nose or something. I had been so wanting a Chimichanga and thats what I got. Then for desert we had cheesecake my fav. I finally got some weight watcher cookbooks now. All of a sudden I have been into cookbooks.

Saturday
We went shopping at the mall. We had to get the boys some more t-shirts and we had to finish up our mothers day shopping. While we were there we all shared some pretzel sticks and a big ole Dr Pepper. After we left the mall we headed to Target to more stuff for Mothers Day. Then It was dinner time so we headed to Chick Fila. When we got home Ryleys little friend was outside so I took the boys across the street to play with Avery. I guess a little before that is when the cold front came through and we were freezing our butts off cause I didnt realize a cold front was coming. So we played until we started to get too cold and then we headed home to eat. Avery is such a cute little girl. Finally when the boys went to bed I headed off to Wal Mart to buy groceries for our cookout on Sunday.

Sunday
Mothers Day! We took my mom out to Burger King. We were headed to I Hop but they were packed. I guess we didnt really take them out cause my dad ended up paying for everyone. David didnt care for the meal. I loved it. I love fast food breakfast but havent eaten it in a really long time cause its so unhealthy and cause I am dieting. We were the only ones there so it was great so we could relax and the kids got to play in the play area. After that we headed home, to get ready to have Dave's family over for a cookout. Our cookout turned out great. I even made a a cherry cola cake with chocolate covered cherries on top. It was so good I will have to post pics of it later. After we ate the girls watched Bridal Wars, the guys played video games and the kids played with play dough and played in Ryleys room. As it got later everyone was still here so we ordered some good ole dominos pizza and watched tv again while the guys played video games. It was very nice and relaxing. I really enjoyed myslef and had a great weekend. Hmm now what shall we do for fathers day...?

Weekend

Saturday

David spent most of the days with the boys. He took Nate, Ryley and Aiden to Home Depot where they built wheelbarrels. After that they headed to Ryley's 2nd favorite place to eat Chick Fila. While they were there I was at a luncheon that was put on through City Cross Church for a Mothers Day celebration. It was all of us girls. After that we all headed back to the OC. We ended up staying there for a while cause it was storming everytime we were ready to leave.



Sunday
We all headed to Tonyas for the guys to work on their bikes and to eat Fajitas. David has been wanting to fix up his bikes forever but just never has the time anymore.

I was a little tired but the boys had a blast playing with their cousins. They played with play dough, they played with each other, & of course they fought with each other.


Those fajitas were absolutely delicious. Too bad I didnt take a pic of them.

TGIF

Tonight my nephew Nate is spending the night with us. The boys just love their cousins. In the car on the ride home all we heard was Nate Nate Nate. Ryley was so excited to hear that Nate was going to spend the night. His eyes just lit up and you would think he had just gotten a new toy with how excited he was. He used to see Nate almost everyday and now he maybe gets to see him once every other week.
